our story

In 1994, I arrived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, travelling independently through Central America.

I didn't need someone to plan my trip. I just needed a little help getting started—understanding where I was, how things worked and where to go next.

Then I was on my own.

That experience stayed with me.

Pratai is built around the same idea: support without taking over.
